Since 1975, William Reese Company has served a large international clientele of collectors and private and public institutions in the acquisition of rare books and manuscripts and in collection development. With a catalogued inventory of over thirty thousand items, and a general inventory of over sixty-five thousand items, we are among the leading specialists in the fields of Americana and world travel, and maintain a large and eclectic inventory of literary first editions and antiquarian books of the 18th through 20th centuries. We issue frequent, and substantial, catalogues in our fields of specialization, and we are equipped to produce smaller lists devoted to specific subjects with ease in response to requests. With this new, and still embryonic, venture onto the WWW, we shall be posting our catalogues and some of our occasional lists here for online viewing. Portions of our inventory may be searched.   We also occasionally publish works related to Americana bibliography, and a list of some of our titles in print is now available, including standard terms to the trade for quantity orders, as is a list of recommended Americana references (some of which we are able to offer from inventory). We are active buyers within our fields of interest, ranging from individual better items to entire collections. While we do not maintain an open premises, portions of our inventory may be seen, strictly by advance appointment, during the business week. We are located in two adjoining 19th century brownstones in downtown New Haven, on the edge of the historic campus of Yale University. We have recently expanded into an additional building in Hamden, Ct. We remind viewers of our online catalogues that current releases of the most popular web browsers allow for the adjustment of the size of display fonts in order to facilitate ease of onscreen reading.
